HINT: MORE WOOD FROM TREES BEFORE CUTTING THEM DOWN

by Daniel Jackson - Jun 30, 2010 Star_s3,209 views

Here is a little hint for those of you who didn't know (like I didn't a little while ago) how to get more wood from trees without cutting them down.
As you know Pines grow from 1 chop to 8 chops and Oaks from 1 chop to 12 chops.
Until the trees are fully grown they will regain their chops as long as you leave one chop to the tree and allow it to grow to the next stage.
Exsample:
Oak grows in five stages.
-Stage one 1 chop (sapling) - Chops you can cut 0
-Stage two 2 chop - Chops you can cut 1
-Stage three 4 chop - Chops you can cut 3
-Stage four 7 chop - Chops you can cut 6
-Stage five 12 chop (fully grown) - Chops you can cut 12 + Stump
This way you can chop an oak 21 times (+ Stump) instead of waiting the tree to fully grow and cut it down for 12 chops (+Stump).
Same thing for Pine is 15 chops instead of 8.

And for visiting your friends... if you chops trees... only chops growing trees. Don't cut fully grown trees or saplings. This way you will not "harm" anyones plans for their trees.
Hope this helps someone and is not something that you all knew .

EDIT:
Here are the same "chart" for Pine.

Pine grows in five stages.
-Stage one 1 chop (sapling) - Chops you can cut 0
-Stage two 2 chop - Chops you can cut 1
-Stage three 3 chop - Chops you can cut 2
-Stage four 5 chop - Chops you can cut 4
-Stage five 8 chop (fully grown) - Chops you can cut 8 + Stump
This way you can chop an oak 15 times (+ Stump) instead of waiting the tree to fully grow and cut it down for 8 chops (+Stump).

Basically if you leave the tree showing you exsample 1/2 or 1/5 Chops you are good.
Only when the tree is fully grown (x/8 Chops for Pine and x/12 Chops for Oak) you can chop them down since they will not grow back.

Is the saw in "Mafia Wars" still available for Frontierville neighbors to cut the Trees. They grow back so fast, I can't get past where I am for having to redo. Very frustrating! Meals don't last very long and can't seem to get very far. Any suggestions? Thanks!
