New Version of Link Exchage is LIVE NOW on Cityville, Adventure World and Empires and Allies!

Link exchange is a great way to advance quickly as you can have people who are not your Facebook friends help with your links (like sending items to finsih the quest). It is pretty popular among our members and although the current way does it's job, we knew there was a better way to do it. So we reworked on the whole system!

The changes we made are:

  1. No more copying/pasting link:  Many people were asking how to exchange links and we had a whole thead on how to do it, but it was still very complicated. Now it can't be any easier - we will fetch your feed and all you need to do is to select and click!
  2. Expire links: There were lots of links that were dead and wasted many people's clicks because people didn't know if they were expired or not. Now people can mark the links "expired" which will help weed out dead links!
  3. Know exactly what you will get: Before, some dishonest people wrote the wrong description just to get people to click on their links.  With the new change, we have a much accurate way to show what you will get in return by clicking on the links.
  4. Filter bonuses: If you are looking for a specific item that you want to help, you can easiy do so by typing the item name in the search box! For example, if you only need "Energy" (for CastleVille), you can type "En" and it will show only Energy links. How cool is that?
  5. 1-Click Help: If you don't want to click on the links one by one, you can also use the 1-Click help to click 10 links at once. But this might be hard to figure out which links were expired or not.

We are testing this new version on Castleville and the test seems to be working well! So much more links and clicks! So we are planning to transition Adventure World, Empires & Allies, and Cityville's Link Exchange to this new format very soon (this is live now!).

The change might suprise some people who are used to the current way. But we are pretty sure that once you get used to it, it's so much better than the old way! Hope you enjoy the new look and feel free to leave feedback on this page or the CastleVille link exchange feedback page.

with the new system, our new posts don't show up for hours. this means that when they're available to be posted here, probably we don't need items or energy (!) anymore.

i strongly prefer the old version.
