Mine only worked the first time I tended those experimental flowers and never again :-( Apparently, you must keep making them to collect teardrops.

New source for rainbow drops!
Just got a rainbow drop from tending my new experimental flowers (obtained after treating flowers with gloom elixir) - can't wait to see what else I get - these flowers can be tended every 10 minutes.
