Neighbours that CV asked me to add just do whatever they want

I cannot find info on how this new neighbour thing works. Yes, I agreed to have neighbors without adding them as a friend, but there must be some sort of communication! They keep killing my beasties and clicking on areas where I've put up a sign!
I've been chopping trees because I need Amber and they go and click on my golden tree where I had a sign and a beastie on it.

How do I delete them since they don't show up on my neighbours tab either?
Howcome THEY can ask me for items but I cannot ask them?
How do I add my own if this is the case???
Please answer all of my questions, I'm really cheesed about this.
