Question-whiteFarmville has become CRAFTVILLE????

by Judy Thompson Parker - Dec 18, 2013 Star_s717 views

I happily celebrated 4 years with Farmville. But Zynga has made so many changes....I don't know about my fellow farmers,,,,,,, but I am so sick of all this crafting that has to be done for a quest. They either need to create a Craftville or rename Farmville. I want my old Farmville back..Any other thoughts on this, I am to the point of forgetting about doing any more of the quests.

3 year UNhappy f'viller here, and I haven't completed nor opened nor worked on a single quest in over a year. I stopped doing that long before they became 'crafty' in their new-ways-to-piss-off-more-gamers mentality. I thought Z dumped f'ville? why can't I access f'ville at the Z sight? Either way, all I do at f'ville is ... yeah ... farm, tend a few trees, grow a few baby animals ... I make my f'ville experience as old-school as possible, but it's like trying to have a conversation with the mother of a toddler. Every, freakin' second you are interrupted by pop-ups. Can't get around that annoying aspect unlike being able to hang up on or walk away from the rude mother whose child is obviously born to be king/queen. Alas, the old days are gone for good, but for whatever strange reason, I continue to hold out and hope for the best ... like a return to the good, ol days. Much luck to you in your reluctant and yet inevitable release from the curse of the quest!

I just closed down 5 farms in their entirety, sold off all my Crafting shops due to total lack of bushels. Zynga will never figure it out and I'm not about to hold my breath for any changes.

I so agree! What else I am sick of is having to craft tons of things! It is hard enough to get four items from the few hundred neighbors I have, let alone 20 or 50 of something!

I've quit everything that requires Crafting. Zynga doesn't have a clue what they're doing to their farmers. It's all so damned impossible to complete Crafting when there aren't enough bushels to do it. I truly think that Zynga wants everyone to pay for their bushels.

I only do the quests til I get the trees or Instant Grows, I don't care much about the other stuff so, I don't bother with the rest. But, all this crafting or having to make anything where all the crops needed are from the new farm and you have to plant something else for the quest. I am tired of new farms, there are enough and there are too many quests to do at once. One or 2 is fine but, 3-4, just too much. I only do them for trees but, this is getting old.

I agree, I stopped playing but still send gifts to friends who still play and check my farms to harvest trees and animals, I have switched to Farmville 2, much easier and only one farm. I was excited at first when new farms came out but it has gotten out of hand with so many and the quests and crafting had gotten so crazy it wasn't fun or enjoyable to play.

Farmville can be played any way you like. If you only want to plant and harvest and collect animals, do so - enjoy yourself. I quit doing most of the quests; I only do ones that have a prize I really want - which narrows the field to insta grows, unwithers, realistic looking animals, and that's about it. I use the GU bar to collect things off the feed, and make sure that it is helping my friends. I do, however, like the crafting - I craft continually, and plant to support what I create. However, once again the field of what I want to craft is pretty narrow - I mostly do practical things - vehicle parts, SDB's, fuel, fertilizer. I plant Royal Taro about once a week on Hawaii to make Poi for fuel, and I make my "rounds" every night collecting the highest level goods from the market stalls, there are six people who have crafts worth collecting, so I only get theirs - over and over and over again, I can do one set per farm on all farms before getting the "you have reached your limit". I finished the hanging gardens long ago, so no longer need to craft trowels in the little shed. By the time I have done these things, it's time for bed. I do have a touch of OCD behavior, and I feel as though I keep my "demon" fed with the repetitive tasks on farmville so that I don't become like the TV character "Monk" and allow the OCD to bleed out into real life.

i quit the quests over a year ago. and i am less stressed because of quitting. i still help when i see a post from a fv friend that needs help, but i am not doing them. i have lost about 43 in fv cash from a slow computer and a few blackouts......and i have no way to contact them to get it back. i was in the middle of harvesting a crop and the box that says to expand stall popped up.....well i was harvesting right where the complete now button is and i ended up hitting it...a thunderstorm started and the loud noise made me jump and that is when i hit the button....oh well.....i will never buy fv cash.....cause if you lose it, you cant recover it.

definitely tired of all the crafting I never have all the stuff so it takes forever to make the items.

I agree 200% ,, the crafting has really gotten out of hand....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate all the crafting. Especially with the Christmas lights. It is really annoying.

I agree 110% with Judy Thompson Parker!! Farmville has made it harder to complete task/quest for anyone who has played or stayed with the game for a long time. No to mention that they keep adding more 'Farms' to Farmville that is unnecessary. They are enough 'Farms' now, we do not need any more.

Posted this at https://www.facebook.com/GamersUniteFans (our FB page) also to see what people think. Personally unless there is a prize I really want I do not finish those crafty type quests! Now Zynga is generally offering the prizes for FV cash after the quest is over which is nice if you miss something and really want it and are willing to pay farm cash!!
