Question-whiteDoes anyone else hate the new leveling up requirements?

Since Zynga lowered the XP's of leveling up, it takes me a week or more to reach a new level whereas before I leveled up every other day. Yes, the requirements dropped almost in half, but now my goat shed (which I used to speed-feed to level up faster) went from giving me 3200 XP to 320 XP. Needless to say, I have 160 speed-feeds that sit unused. I used to make the acoma vases a lot and rarely had any mud as a result. Now I have over a thousand muds because that doesn't help much. Marie's prized buffalo used to give 150 XP for each one I clicked, now they drop a paltry 13 XP each. I quickly realized that visiting neighbors wasn't worth it anymore unless I needed water or fertilizer, which I rarely ever do.

Even though the old requirements were higher, at least there was hope if you had enough mud and/or speed-feed. Now the game has become tedious and boring. I went from playing several times a day to playing once and even that's too much. Does anyone else feel this way?

At level 138 and now to get to 139 its takes 800,000 XP's and this is fair???

There's still lots of ways to make XP fast .. on your first 8 visits find high level farm (120 and up) with Legend status and hit a grove with trees that become avilable at those high levels, that's 4 times 150 XP. Look for neighbors that have prized Bagot Goats or Harlequin Rabbits up front, they are 147 XP each. Do the same on your farm, put your best prized animals up front for your visitors to feed .. you can find a list with what's best here .. http://www.zyngaplayerforums.com/showthread.php?2271940-Guide-for-the-new-XP-on-every-crop-tree-and-plant .. You can put some sprinklers there as well, helps both you and your neighbor to get some extra water. And .. if you have 2 Bagot Goats or 2 Harlequin Rabbits you can still do the speedfeed level up, for 882 instead of 900 XP per 1 speedfeed in shelter.

No, leveling up is not a problem, once you've adjusted to the new system it goes much faster. It's much harder to control though, at least for now, but maybe I'll adjust to that as well.

According to a statement mady by Zynga the speedfeed level ups are the exact reason why they changed the requirements. They deemed it "unfair" that some users used the prized animals to level up. Just as they deemed the sprinklers that watered lots of plots when neighbours clicked them "unfair". The later is the reason why I started cheating to get water. I don't have time to spend several hours every day struggling to get water to my farm. They haven't changed the requirements in the crafting kiln for me, and there are plenty of other ways to make quick xp so that doesn't bother me. However, my opinion is that "unfair" is simply a word they use instead of "nonprofitable". Anyone can make speed feed, anyone can have their neighbours click on sprinklers, it's not unfair when anyone can do it, but some choose to not do it. (>.<)

I agree and the requirements for the favors is just ridiculous!!

im having problems collecting cameras too it reached 20 and stopped

I am quite content with the new levelling up. The game needs to be challenging a bit otherwise it will be boring. Usually I manage to collect everything I need within the seven days as the challenge lasts. What makes me really angry are the requirements of ingredients to make items to fulfil the orders. E.g. one needs 1230 tomatoes, 1349 corn etc. I have not yet so many fields on my farm nor can I collect so much water.

my problem is with recipes/tasks (ostrich task) that ask for items that only neighbors/friends 'click-on' to send you. These posts get buried in with ALL the others for free fertilizer/water and get missed by neighbors/friends. and then it's hard to get these items that aren't avail. anywhere else. i.e.: green plaid shirts, black vial paint, and so on and so on and blah blah blah....yeah this sux 2:------------>. Sorry farmer, other farmers beat you to this reward!

I upgraded my Windmill to maximize my crafting power and get more than enough XP from all the new high XP recipes in the Kitchen. It feels like I am leveling up almost every other day and I don't speed feed any of my animals.

@Kelley Dane: Have you looked at the expansion requirements when logged in through Facebook instead of Zynga.com. I went from having to make 45 Spicy Cornbreads (requiring pepper) to only needing to make 5. THe newest River Expansion required 20 duckings on Zynga, I only needed 2 on Facebook, etc

I'm having more problems with expansions. Leveling up is less of a problem (once a week leveling up at level 104) when I made sure maximum xp and maximum product in the storage sheds was filled. In other words, don't be cheap on the feed filling your goat shed with red goats. Make sure your high end goats are in the goat shed (rocky mtn goats) and highland cows fill up your cow shed etc. I go with the feather pots as they use less energy and mud and put my white feathers to use where other recipes do not. If you dont have high xp on prized animals in sheds, is it because you haven't achieved blue ribbons for these critters yet? Because that makes a difference too.

As for the expansion requirements-- its not enough to have millions in coins. They're making me request 160 nails to complete craft projects in addition to the items and the coins just to buy the property in the first place. This is my current expansion. The previous one made me put out requests for hundreds of sugar, and the one before that hundreds of requests for flasks. I don't have enough reliable neighbors to keep this up. I find that more annoying than anything else they've managed to mess with these days.

my farm is set for max xp level 129 i still level up once a day or more

Why have you stopped making the vases ? The value on that hasn't changed. I am levelling up much quicker on the new values. My 'xp's needed' have dropped from 1.000.000 to 230,000 !

me too , I use to play all day long now I just sign in 2 or 3 times take my water and log out is too boring whit so little xp for each animal also only farm cash animal are the only ones who give a little more but Im not going to spend money in animals, only spend money when they offer me expansions for like 8 dollar.
