Light-bulbAttention Breeders.. New Game Settings for Stables and Coops. UPDATE 11/10/10

~*~Update 11/10/2010~*~ Well, seems we are having problems once again. Although the stables are still producing foals, the coop is back to the same problem as before, one harvest per 24 hrs.  Get your keyboards ready guys and lets flood Zynga once again. You can email them at
[email protected]

Latest Update*** According to Zynga, the OOS error when breeding has been fixed. The changes made by zynga are rather simple. Instead of the first horse that goes in making the stable "ready", it is now determined by the last horse placed in stable. As long as the last horse placed is 34% ready or higher, it will automatically create a ready to harvest stable.

Ok, so it seems that not only did they give us all new items tonight with the update; but they also slipped a belated trick in on us. Now all buildings are on the same 24 hr time link that the dairy barn is on. For those of you not familiar with what this means....
Now instead of being able to create multiple foals or eggs per day by various means, you are allowed to collect one in a 24 hr period. So looks like things will be slowing down on the farm for winter, eh?
 ***** Update *****
Seems enough people went to the big Z* today and complained. What have they done to address the issue? Status on the stables has been changed to Under Investigation.  You can find their acknowledgement here:

Just a quick add-on to Paula's original post: this new method Zynga has instituted is affecting all barns and stables in the game whether you breed or not. If you have, say, a Dairy Barn that is 99% ready and you put a brand new cow into the barn (with, obviously, 0% ready), the Dairy Barn will revert to 0%. So be careful when placing another animal into an already established barn/stable. You may want to wait and add it after you have next harvested the barn/stable.

how do i get a stallion?? i missed the holiday tree offer so now im trying to look for a permanent one so i can start breeding!!! help would be greatly appreciated

I'm having the same issue as the other guy, only one of my five barns will produce... This is really bugging me.

I'm beginning to think that Zynga have made things very difficult for all the players because of GU. Is Gamers' Unite responsible for the difficulties and restrictions? I think so. I also want to add that after I have snagged up to my limit, my computer goes awry and hangs. I have to get off the internet, clear my history et al and start again. I'm seriously thinking of leaving GU and if everybody else does the same Zynga might go back to allowing us more freedom.

I've noticed a lot of concerns regarding "Foal Transformations"
this link explains it all. http://farmville.wikia.com/wiki/Nursery_Barn

my stable works fine but only 1 barn out of 5 will produce. What;s up with that ?

Picture?type=square

where is a good breeding guide.... My hubby had something grow into a pinto horse he has 2 now but cant remember what all was in his nursery and which foal grew to be the Pinto Horse Please see my FB profile and feel free to add me as well. Also (provided they fix issues for those that breed) I have had success rotating horses to produce more than one foal... but in the last few months with all the changes we have yet to figure how to successfully rotate the chickens yet seen a farmer produce many eggs *the farmer didnt share info when asked lol* I just want to learn to be successful breeder and be able to share back as some of my wonderful higher lvl fv friends have shared.

So Melinda Kabat how many foals/calfs do u put in, in order to get a grown horse? Thanks :)

Picture?type=square

how do you breed from the stable? I've tried but doesn't work. I also have foals in the nursery that do not grow up...what's with that?????

Picture?type=square

My stable works fine I have it full of horses 38 and a snow stallion I then add one horse with the hand tool harvest and remove a horse. and repeat for as many horses as I have I do not breed for special foals since I don't get one and I have friends that give to me. I can't get the nursery barn to grow a foal thogh If I put in a ready foal it just stays at the 05 if I wait till it is ready (the barn)then add a foal it will sometimes give me a grown but very rare about once a week. The Coop acts the same one ready a day but I am getting an egg almost every dayand if not then a reward to my friends for feeding

I've decided to start breeding and thought this would be a good starting point to learn a few things. I've read a lot of recent posts from people wanting to know where to get a stallion. If you are collecting gifts under the christmas tree, you can exchange 500 gifts for a snow stallion. You also get to send a couple as gifts once you "buy" one. Those friends who you sent a stallion to as a gift, get to post one to the newsfeed. Just an FYI.

@Donna..you're doing nothing wrong.  When you place the stallion, you only get to use him once.  I had to rely on the wandering stallion for a long time before I finally got a permanent one.  Farmville bonus checker is great for this since it basically 'houses' any extra stallions and saves having to search through the posts for them...if you don't have it here's the link to the app: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=175804218660

Also...the snow stallion is a permanent stallion, so if you have enough presents (500) to get him, or a very good friend to send him to you, get him.  There are only 3 days left, so good luck :)

I am new to the breeding process. When I put a horse in then barn and it's ready to harvest. Once I harvest it my wandering stallion leaves. So am I doin something wrong? Thanks for any advice. Donna

Any foals or horses my snag bar get, never end up in my gift box lately....Also I produced a percheron foal today and it never showed up in my gift box...Very frustrating :/

@Tessa...yes, you can use your Snow Stallion in your stable.  It is a 'true' stallion :)
