@San White - These instructions are only for requests that you can post to your Timeline. Items that you have to send a gift request for are handled through Facebook's App Center Requests page and, as such, cannot be added to our Link Exchange.
When I ask a friend for a gift it does NOT publish to me page therefore there is no link to copy? What's up with that? What a I doing wrong?

I am still trying to find out how to make a manual link to request crew/staffing in chefville. Does anyone know how to construct a manual link for this game?
I can't figure out how to request woogoo on monster world. There is no option to post that to your profile. I'm desperate. I clicked a link on accident and it gave all my woogoo away :*(
Took me sometime to figure this out for Castleville, but it works.
As stated "Once you "Publish" it, the post should appear on your Profile page like this:" blahhh
Goto your Profile page, Click "Activity log", a new page should open. Now on the drop down button next to "Activity log" click it and select "Castleville" or the game of your choice. Simply right click on the post you want help with, select "Copy link address" (i'm using chrome, other browsers could be different). Now you have the link in your clipboard.
Click the check box on Gamers Unite "Manual URL"
Type the Item requested in the field below "Request Name"
Click the field box under "Your Link" press Ctrl V.
Job done
A lot of posts in the link exchange have pictures of the actual item next to them. How do I do that?

We have many link exchange forums on our site and I wanted to write a more detailed instructions on how to construct a link, how to help other people, and how to update your link. (Please note that this method only works for games that allow non-friends to help)
Currently, we support the following games:
1. Get your exchange link for manual link exchange
The first step is to go inside the game, and get the Facebook "Share" popup that asks your friends to help you with the item you need. For example, in Cityvillle, there was a Winter Wonderland quest that made you ask for materials like Pinecones, Skates, and Holiday Lights from friends.
Clicking on the "Ask your Friends!" should bring up a Facebook share dialogue box.
Please note that most of the time the links that you can exchange are the ones you post on your wall like above, and the ones you need to request to individual friends normally cannot be exchanged.
Once you "Publish" it, the post should appear on your Profile page like this:
This is similar to trading items on Farmville, but basically, all you need is that link that your friend will click, in the case above, it's "Send Holiday Lights." You can right click (or Ctr+click for Mac) on the link and choose "Copy Link Location" (the wordings might be different across browsers) to copy the link. That's it, you got your exchange link so others can click and help!
2. Paste the link to in the Exchange Forum
Now go to the link exchange forum and paste the link from above to the form.
Now that you appear on the gift exchange, go ahead and help bunch of other people on the list! We show how many each person has "received help" and "helped others" so the more people you help, there is probably more chance for getting help too. You can see who helped you on the side bar under "Your Gifts Stat" too so you can thank them by helping them back if they have gift links. If you get the "Sorry" message, the person probably got enough help. Well at least you tried!
3. Make sure you update your link (only for games that do not use the new link exchange system)
Once you collected the items you need, make sure you update with another link or delete it so people don't unnecessarily help you. Just enter a new link into the same form and click "post to wall" to update, or click "remove" to remove yourself from the list.
Hope this was helpful! Again, please remember that most of the games do not allow people who are not on your Facebook friend's list to help each other. And even if they do allow non-friends to help, it could change anytime so help each other like crazy until it lasts! Also, please let us know if you find any other game that lets non-friends to help each other with links so we can have a new exchange thread.
