below the tabs there should be an info stating that your link is invalid or something like that...
try this:
ask for something and go to your facebook wall and accept it. it should say that you cant accept your own gifts.
Then copy the address for that page on your browser and post it to the link exchange page...
if that works then your link is invalid for sure.
if not, well... good luck with that ;)

I am having trouble with the link exchange. I build the link just as stated in the notes and hit the post to wall button. Nothing happens. I refresh after a few sec. and my post is not there. Have tried many different links and none worked. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
