I've had a hell of a time with Level 40 as well and from what I've searched/found is match a few colored balls until you see a blinking lime green colored spider. Hopefully once you do, you can hit the outside line, dropping the rest and giving you what high score you need. I'm going to try later once I've got my 5 lives again...if not, I give up! :) Hope it works.
I'm stuck on level 40-read through other hints. does anyone know how to get blinking green spider down?

I send extra lives get extra live and don't get them anyone out her know how you get them i have trad everything on here and nothing it really making me mad along with level 50 ...I have done everything the video says to do and still nothing been on it for a month.

Can anyone tell me how to change the bubble before you shoot ? I have seen it done on the how to beat the level you are on.
The flashing green spider did the trick for me - waited till i saw it and then let the bubbles drop in level 40. That got me the score i needed. the x2 yellow spiders do not give you enough score.
You have to, if its the one I think it is, get the center black triangle to fall so then you can get to the top always try to work your way even if its on one side to the top where you can hopefully get them all to fall when you break the chain. Im no expert but hope I helped some!
I am on level 44 now, i was on levels 40-43 for about a month. i just had to keep trying and I got lucky. Take your time, use you balls wisely,
Stuck on level 40 for 2 weeks now! Did u ever get past level 40? do u have to get through the bubbles from the bottom and not by gettng them from the sides?
I hear waiting till a spider is blinking green should get you more points but I have yet to complete this level

Okay, I have bought the potions, balls and extra spiders and nothing seems to work. I have hit the side on the first throw. I have worked my way to the top without hitting the mines, but I still can't get enough points to score a star. What do you have to do to get past this level?
HELP!
