Do you need a specific animal to move into your land in order to fill a page in your Animal Book? Here is a little guide on how to do this while also avoiding mistakes.

Look at the image below:

Here is page 1 in the animal book.  When you complete a page in your animal book you get a reward.  To view the reward click 'Reward' on the bottom.  Completing pages in your Animal Book get more complicated as the page levels get higher.  At level 10, the animals will want more expensive houses that can go into the millions!

Let's take a look at two land animals on this page to learn the basics!

Bill wants to live in the forest because the forest is his 'natural habitat'.  You probably already have some forest decorations in your land already so you won't need to buy any trees.  Place the house by the trees then complete building it in order to make a house for Bill.  The same works for animals that want to live in the Savannah and in the Water.

You can later move Bill's house away from the trees (after he moves in) and place it wherever you want to.

Robin wants to live in open land because it's her natural habitat.  Open land means you're just putting the house in your land without any decorations around it.

See the image below for where Robin can live:

Like any other house with any other animal living in it, you can move it away from their natural habitat and put it anywhere you want.

Now let's look at some water-living animals.  This is Dave and NickDave wants to live in open water (Similar to open land, he doesn't want any decorative items) and Nick wants to live on the seaside.  Unlike Dave, Nick can live in a land home because he wants to live by the water.

There is where I have Dave's house.  Notice I have flowers by his house.  I added the flowers after he moved into his house.

Notice that some flowers count as decoration for water animals and some do not.  The yellow and the blue ones don't count as water animal decorations.

Let's look at making a house for Nick.  He wants to live seaside so put his house right by the water.  Below is an example.

Now let's look at Hoppy and MikeHoppy will only live in the playful water house.  Mike will either live in the cheaper ocean cottage or in the (much more expensive) playful water house.  Hoppy doesn't want any decorative items but Mike does.

Here is how you can mess up:

I am planning on buying the playful water house.  I buy and place the playful water house and start buying decorations to go around it to make it look pretty.  I finish building it and oh no!  I got Mike because I added decorations when I could have moved him into a munch cheaper house.  Now I need to buy another playful water house to move in Hoppy!

I have much more population but was it really worth the coins?  In the pictures above, I added the decorations to Hoppy's house (Right)

So now that you know how to move in animals, it's time to organize your messy land that's filled with them!  Read on to see how-to hide animals, allow them to walk around, and make them stand in one place.

To allow an animal to walk around on roads and sidewalks, first select the "Move" button.  While in "Move" mode, click on an animal you would like to walk around.  Now place that animal on a road.

Once placed, the animal will walk around freely exploring your land!  To make them stand still just place them on an empty spot that isn't a road or sidewalk.  You can use your cudly cute animals as decorations in your land to make it look a lot more lively.

To make an animal 'hidden' completely, go to the- yes, really- the delete tool.  Remember that the delete tool is the trash can icon to the far right in the mini-tool window.

But don't worry, they will be placed inside their house again.   At anytime you can click on the house to 'let him out' and you will move him around like I moved around Miss Lucy with the move tool automatically selected.
