The Queens well will not expire after a year. If the game will have level caps raised a whole new lot of quests,decor,buildings etc updates and is around for a good 2-3 + years then I kinda see it as worth it.

Either way I wont be investing.

I am also guessing that in order to double your investment at 10 crowns every 5 days, Zynga is wanting you to either A) keep playing the game for at least a year or B) forget to click on the well every 5 days, so they get your money and you get nothing when you forget.

and this exactly why i am not buying The Queen's MoneyPit...Errr I mean Well.

you forgot to add in the maidens well they now have that costs 150 and gives 5 crowns every 5 days... ( dies from laughter)

I think the only mistake here is the kind of THE item. It should be a BANK!

People need to stop spending their real money on these FB games that they don't even own in the first place, if people have that much money to SPLASH around then they are better off donating it to homeless people or the sick children that are in hospital.
FB games need to stop spamming us with their Market crap every time we play their games it is totally annoying and out of control.

I personally do not want to initially spend £40 for 360 crowns and have to collect the 360 crowns bit by bit for a year until the expired time of one year. Not interested its a game not a competition with my friends to have a better looking CV. and I dont desire these cartoon items enough to put my hand in my pocket, If others feel they just cant resist then so be it, just saying!!!

Here are the relevant facts, as I see it.

The Queen's well costs 360 crowns. You can collect 10 crowns once every 5 days. It is active for 1 year, then expires. Zynga says that if you buy it, you will double your crowns.

OK. One year is 365 days. There are 73 chances to collect 10 crowns from the well over the course of a year, giving you 730 crowns possible to get from the well. (365 days in a yr/5 days per collection=73 chances to collect x 10 crowns per collection= 730 crowns per year)

730-360 (crowns you paid for the well)=370 crowns profit. So, you more than double your money if you collect all crowns possible from the well.

It is up to you whether the investment of money and time is worth the return.

This is also scary, because what if Castleville were to shut down like so many other games? Then you have spent all of this noney for nothing, and with no refund. I do not pay money for anything for games anymore since they closed down games that I had bought things for, and then I just lost my money. It is absolutely NOT worth it.

I am more baffled than angry... it is true that is not a required item, fair enough, but what is the point? Why offer this item in the first place if it is just not worth the hassle/expense?

I don't quite get the rage. Is it a required item? No. Any repercussions from not buying it? No.

Want to buy it, but don't have the crowns? Tough. I can't buy all the things I want either.

I have also heard from Zynga that the Queen's Well expires after 1 year. The catch is you must read the first graphic carefully. The first time you see to learn about this item, it says, "DOUBLE your CROWNS"!

The item description when you go to purchase it for 360 crowns does not mention that the Well will run dry after 360 days. This is the biggest bullshit ripoff Zynga has ever made. 2 crowns per day (one potato, or one action)...with ONE year to wait to get the doubling of crowns, and then the Well vanishes completely. It will not even stay dormant in the kingdom as decoration.

I am not very happy with the Queen thing either. I was expecting it to be expensive but 360 crowns!! That is nuts!!!

When I first see Queen's thing, I thought they will give this with a quest. But what I see is b.... :)

I totally agree with you. It was maybe like even 150, that would be a bit more reasonable. It's just ridiculous to pay that much for a digital item you can't even hold physically or even resell.
