Update 7.23.2012: We have migrated the app to a more powerful server, so it should load faster and more reliably now. "Liking" posts directly from the app may not be working properly again. We are looking at the problem and will provide an update soon.
Please encourage your friends to check out Game Feeds.
I just installed & used game feed yesterday. I was very pleased with how it work & was excited because I racked up so many coin bonuses in Lost Bubble that my balance was 8000 and it showed the increases on each window that opened. We I exited and went to facebook to share & play the game I saw that my balance went down to only 2000! What happened to all my gifts? Are they lost forever?
I NEED HELP... WHEN I CLICK ON 1 CLICK GIFTS IT BRINGS ME TO AN APP PAGE... WHAT'S UP WITH THAT... I'M SURE IT HAS TO DO WITH TIMELINE.. CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME AS TO A FIX...THANKS
Yes, unfortunately this is down for now. We're experiencing a database outage from our cloud provider Heroku
I am getting this message now
Application Error
An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. Please try again in a few moments.
If you are the application owner, check your logs for details.
@ Janet Mcmahan: The App Center is part of Facebook, not Gamers Unite, so Gamers Unite can not help you. Like every other change in Facebook, we just have to try to get used to it (or leave Facebook). The new App Center is not all that bad. At least not as bad as the dumb Timeline. lol
If you do not like it because you cannot find your requests, scroll down on the App Center main page. There is a link to your Requests at the bottom of the list of stuff there. Once at the Requests page, you will find that when someone asks if you would like to add a game they play, there is a synopsis of what the game is like. No guessing or doing a search to find an App page (now that Facebook removed them from a single click to go to them - and some games don't even have them anymore). If still wondering about the game, you can always try it, them remove it if it stinks. lol
I had a habit of right clicking on a game title in the OLD requests page and then open in a new tab in Chrome (of Firefox). But with the NEW requests page that doesn't work the same. Now you have to hover over the game title them click on the "Play Now" button (or right click on it). A little different, but still possible to get to the game.
Bottom line, although it looks different and takes an additional click to get to it, the new requests page is actually a little better than the old one. And the Gamers Unite add on (extension) for it is still working and is now at the top left of the page. Since most if not all games now have gifts inside the games themselves, I use that GU add on to Chrome as an alpha list to click to get to a certain game's requests or to simply see if there are any for a particular game.
Hope this helps you Janet, and anyone else not liking the new way to get to Requests! :)
@Enrique, sorry for the late reply. Yes the app first looks at your home feed and then almost immediately after looks at the http://www.facebook.com/?sk=cg (thus the app blanks out for couple of seconds). Let me ask our engineer for a mroe accurate answer to your question though.
@Amy (Re: @John) - Does the app actually go through http://www.facebook.com/?sk=cg and then @Amy (Re: @John) - Does the app actually go through http://www.facebook.com/?sk=cg and then physically filter desired games from there?
If so... a simple change might make your app much more effective and solve two apparent issues brought up. First, it would be infinitely faster, needing only to remember which feeds have been used by the app, no longer being forced to filter through feeds from perhaps dozens of different apps. Secondly, It would enable one to go check feeds posted several days earlier with ease. If you use http://www.facebook.com/?sk=app_[app_id], this url provides you with an application specific filter of a users news feed. For Example, http://www.facebook.com/?sk=app_222868257269 (this gives us a news feed that only displays our gamers united feeds!) . I believe that using this search method would also increase the efficiency of your snag bar assuming it is searching for items via ...\?sk=cg
As I think about this more, I realize that this must also why there are a very limited amount of games available on your snag bar, and the reason it takes so long to find relevant (no offense intended, the snag bar is an amazing tool and I am very grateful for being able to use it thanks to the work gamers unite! does for the community). Your script is being forced to look at the url of each feed to determine whether or not it is a suitable match. Using this alternate method, It would have only relevant feeds to being with.
Update 5.24.2012: Now you can "like" the posts right from the app so your friends know that you helped them or got their bonus :)
Pc Lafa, it is an FB app, so the great news is that you don't need to download it at all, you can try it out by going to http://apps.facebook.com/game_feeds/
And It is as easy to uninstall as any app at FB! :)

Developers of Gamers Unite! are always thinking "what kind of useful tool can we make for gamers?"
Lately, we heard many people not liking the new Timline as it's very hard to see game feeds. Sure, there are workarounds such as using the "My Games" or "My Feeds" on Gamers Unite! or use the unofficial game feed link http://www.facebook.com/?sk=cg; but unfortunately, it seems like not many people know about these workarounds.
So we worked on a new app that is a better and improved version of "My Games"!
You can try out our new app here!

We are still working on the details so it's still in Beta but we would love to get your feedback. :)
