Hello,

I am sure you are aware of the strike that is planned against Zynga games! It is making its way to the news as I type this letter to you. I am a gamer on one of your games and I am posting this letter to your mail as I would like to make sure you are aware of all the issues at hand!

We have posted in your forums, contacted live chat, emailed your help desk and tried to call your help lines all with no prevail. In the last 4 months, you all at Zynga have made our once wonderful gaming experience a total nightmare of glitches, refreshes and losses of magic! This is the reason we will not be playing...we will not be buying crowns and here is what we have to say as a mass group.

1.) We have asked over and over again to be able to remove dead staff from tending our buildings... you keep telling us there will be a hire/fire button soon to replace staff.

2.) We have asked that you increase the energy to meet the requirements of higher levels and bigger kingdom. You gave us 3…that did not help us at all...we had to build a totem that cost like a thousand energy only to get 3 a day.

3.) We have complained about our collection limit of 25 energy to be allowed in our inbox but only 15 of those go into our inventory so we lose 10. You haven't even bothered trying to fix this.

4.) We have asked that you fix the glitch with our neighbors not showing in our kingdoms for us to accept the help...4 months and you haven't even looked into it.

5.) We asked that your staff be more efficient with responses in the forums, live chat and help desk. Their idea of fixing something is giving away free items...these do not help!

6.) We asked that you stop demanding long-term quests with the ridiculous amount of current issues, and what do you do? You give us a royal building that requires 3 stained glass, 10 iron bars, and whatever else...the stained glass alone takes two days to make!

7.) We asked that you fix the wall post issues that we are having...you do not even allow us to collect enough to make more than one at a time in most cases only being able to click on 5 posts regardless if we have collected or not.

8.) We asked that you fix it to where our posts showed on the walls when we actually posted to friends.

9.) We asked that you fix our inbox so if we are gone offline for 2 hours we get back and actually receive the gifts friends send us rather than just the answering the request friends need.

10.) We asked that you stop giving us such a strict limit on how many of an item that we collect on wall posts...this isn't fair at all. Some of us are online all day and cannot get the materials we need to play.

11.) We ask that you fix the XP limit so that we can continue to increase our levels instead of maxing out at 50.

12.) We have asked you politely to fix the constant refresh, loss of magic errors but we have all still been getting them for the last 6 months.

13.) We ask that you fix the game where the players can all get into it as you have locked out some really big members!

14.) We ask that you fix the issue that is causing it to take 5 minutes or longer to load a neighbor’s kingdom...over 2 weeks now and we have heard nothing.

15.) We have asked that you fix the energy items that we can craft to make them worth crafting! Why does it take 15 energy to make grape juice consumable for only 3 energy? Why would anyone want to craft that? The same with spaghetti, gravy, coffee cakes, everything!

The reasons listed above are the reason we are going on strike against your games not just because you have taken the free links away from us. Yes they were very nice gifts that kept a lot of players active in the game and even got some of them to buy crowns but they are not the only reason for this strike. So do not think that this is just a bunch of people retaliating against one of your developers so called genius ideas!!!! Yes, most all of these are from Castleville but most of us
play more than just Castleville and we do not appreciate being ignored!

We are all going to mail you this letter in hopes that you get our point! This is horrible!!! You want our money to buy a product that has this many issues? Moreover, you wonder why your stock is going down. It’s not because of us not having quests...it’s not because of us not playing the game...ITS BECAUSE OF ALL YOUR ISSUES!!!

We suggest you take a good look around you at all the developers, creators, designers, organizers, staff of any sorts related to this game, even the financial office...you all have screwed up on this game and really need to rethink a lot of things!!!!

Most of the time computer configurations can be to blame. it doesn't matter how much it cost you. BUT
Zynga seems to think that everything is the players fault which is often not true. A lot of issues have arisen in the past few months, some serious some not so serious which are Zyngas fault.

I fear it maybe Zynga pushing all their efforts in to Cafeville and the ville... We all know what's gonna happen then. Castleville will become like Cityville and when they bring a new Ville range out, their focus will shift onto their new game. and the same will happen with their newest games.

Zynga don't care about the longevity of the game. they care about new content and making money which is why their stocks are falling and people are leaving Zynga games for the last time..

They don't care about you... the loyal players they already have. They want new players.

The links issue has topped it for a lot of players. We used links to compensate for the errors and bugs that were arrising. now there is nothing to help players along... Way to go Zynga!

I wouldnt say its everyones computers I experience a lot of these problems and more and items disappearing in game and unicorns come missing, and oh wait certain quests not opening properly when they should, events not working as they should. I have a brand new computer that cost me over 2,000 dollars I was a certified computer tech, for the Army. I know my way around computers very well as I was trained very well. I can tell you its not a computer software issue when these same problems happen to me. Its not a computer hardware issue when these problems happen to me. Its simply their game having problems, they admit it in their forums they post notices in game on the loading screen all the time about issues. The same on Farmville, and other Zynga games, frankly they have issues with putting out games always in Beta so they can have an excuse for the glitches and bugs, I was actually told several times this: " Well our game in in beta right now so it is expected to have some problems." Funny 99% of game developers dont put games out to the public and charge money for anything in them while they are in beta, because of that very reason, and they dont stay in beta for more than 4-6 months. Funny how every single one of Zynga's games is still in beta even Farmville, which is 3 years old. No game stays in beta that long, and certain not released to the public. It may be something that they get away with but it is certainly below industry standards and that is why their stock is doing so poorly. Well its one of the reasons, aside from that it's doing badly because frankly Wall street stock buyers look into companies and how they treat their customers. Many people quit Zynga games for a reason, google any Zynga game and look at how they have done over the past year. You will see over the course of the year they have dropped players faster than Niagara Falls drops water. The reason is simple, when players go to Customer service with problems, first they try to buy them off with free stuff, then if the problems dont go away and are really bad and the player comes back enough, they get rude, because they keep track of the issue and the player account. They get really rude, I have actually seen some player chat logs showing this progression and experienced this for myself first hand as well. Then they will block the player from coming to live chats even if they are a paying player, no matter how much they spend, even if they didnt violate their Terms of Service and they did nothing wrong but report valid problems and did it only to get the game fixed so they could play properly. This has happened to Thousands of people Google it.. Google Zynga's Poor Customer Service record. Zynga's Mistreatment of players or change the word players to customers. Either way you will see why people who have had issues are angry. I know some people havent had issues, and who like the games and have had minor ones will defend their favorite games, and therefore defend Zynga, hell I would like to defend them too as I like the games I play, however it pains me to say they need to make changes if their games and their company is to survive for the long term. Multiple lawsuits, players united to protests, stock prices dropped 400% in less than a year from when they first opened on the stock market floor in trading. Also some of their game practices for contests and events arent exactly fair either. Farmville this past Christmas has an event where you had to build a Santa sleigh and gather gifts and share gifts with friends etc. You were for the first 3 weeks told to gather as many as you could. NO limit. Funny 3 weeks later no announcement but when you went into the Christmas tree, where you put the gifts to see how many you had in total suddenly for the first time a max limit was set to 300 total. Many people had already gathered way over that. Well they had a solution for that, 2 fold. One the first 20 gifts you opened gave you the good few prizes, and then the next 280 were and supposedly looking random pattern of flashing colored presents opening as you opened them they were the garbage decorations, 280 of them, useless things you could only maybe find uses for 5 or 6 of each and it was 6 of each one so basically you had 6 gifts repeating over and over again, for 280 gifts until they were gone in a pattern. Of course many called them on this, they posted a statement for one day saying that it wasnt true and that the gifts were meant for you to be able to decorate you farms for the next holiday season. Yes because I need 90 pieces of fence and 90 holiday candles on each farm right. So for those who collected over 300 what happens, well see many collected way over by week 3 when the limit came, my total was 1800+ so what happens after number 300 the boxes were all empty.. Some holiday spirit huh Zynga Farmville team! Another incident with them occurred back during halloween time in 2011 , there was a Tricks and treats event, you had to perform tricks on your neighbors, this could only be done by requesting them from neighbors or gathering them from the wall feed within limits , then going to each friend/ neighbor limited to the 300 neighbors you can possibly have and performing 5 tricks per neighbor. Well those who won first place were supposed to get a surprize gift and the first place trophy was also supposed to be given as it was said right in the event.. Well surprise the surprise gift was the tiny-est littlest trophy you ever did see in your life of a jack-o-lantern man. Thats all you got for all your effort. Second and 3rd place also got a Trophy as well just different color, so really you won nothing.. Your efforts and time wasted Slapped in the face by Farmville and Zynga again.. The event that went along with that was a treats gathering quest which involved gathering treats and whoever gathered the most treats out of your neighbors was supposed to get a special prize, again guess what happened.. Suddenly they forgot to give out the prizes at the end and said well the prize you get is the satisfaction of knowing you beat your friends in the contest. This is what the total myself and several others who spoke with them who won. Same exact wording.. They did a few similar things in other gathering events such as the apple bobbing contest when they told everyone to gather as many apples as they could to get prizes with them. You could use the apples you gathered to pay for prizes, well trick was no matter how may apples you gathered you could only get 1 of each prize. so basically you wasted your time gathering extras. They didnt tell everyone that, they had people heated for weeks over that one! Well now just how great are they? Sounds pretty bad to me... Pretty sketchy..

Just an FYI here....

I do chat and forum moderating for another FB game. Players recently "boycotted" for one day and it had zero effect on the game or the developers, and I'll tell ya why.

Devs work on things when they can. But they have two sides to please. There's one set of people that don't care about new content, they want bugs fixed. Then there's the other group that experience very few bugs and demand more content.

Not to mention, MANY of issues you list above have nothing to do with the game; they are either player's computer issues, or Facebook issues. But not CastleVille/Zynga issues.

And the most annoying demand of all...I WANT I WANT I WANT.

You want to be able to breeze through a game. Have zero obstacles, no challenge. Ya know what? You can have that. Purchase some crowns, then you can have everything you want with no obstacles or limits.

But unless you're willing to purchase those crowns, cut your damn bitching already. This game is free. Its not here to make life easier for you.
